Superdry is to open at Swindon Designer Outlet this December followed by a store at Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet in early 2010.
It will open a 3,130 sq ft store in Swindon alongside brands including Billabong, Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss, Polo Ralph Lauren and Timberland.
Cheshire Oaks Design Outlet, which is the largest designer outlet centre in the UK, will see a 2,379 sq ft Superdry store open in the lifestyle section, where brands include Diesel, G-Star, North Face, Original Penguin and Ted Baker.
McArthurGlen’s UK and Northern Europe managing director, Henrik Madsen, said: “Awareness is really growing among brands as to how outlet retailing can help their business and turn excess stock in to cash. We are seeing growing interest from exciting, directional brands such as Superdry, who want to expand their outlet operations.”
CEO and founding partner of Supergroup, Julian Dunkerton, said: “Superdry is one of the most successful brands in the UK and is on a global roll-out, which makes it even more important that we choose the right partners. McArthurGlen’s track record as the leading operator and manager of designer outlet villages in Europe is attractive to our business.”
For both deals, Jones Lang Lasalle acted on behalf of Superdry.
