The people behind the massive Gloucester Quays project have confirmed the first phase of the scheme will open on 21st May 2009.

A number of big names have already confirmed shops in the new Designer Outlet centre, opposite the Peel Centre.

Details of launch will be released closer to the date but it is expected that it will be part a stream of events over a period of 10 days featuring numerous fashion and maritime related themes.

Franco Muccini, Centre Director says:

“We are all working extremely hard to ensure the opening day and the events over the following 10 days are a great success. There will be a variety of events over this period which should appeal to all ages”.
