Matrix docks at Chatham outlet

Matrix Group has taken over management of the Dockside Outlet in Chatham, Kent. The new management aims to inject new impetus into the scheme, which has struggled since opening five years ago.

Matrix will act as trust manager for the scheme’s owner, Capita Alternative Fund Services, and it will be responsible for introducing new tenants as well as the day-to-day running of the centre. DTZ and Rohleder Lumby have been appointed as letting agents.

“We’re very much looking forward to developing a strong relationship with everyone at Dockside and reviving the centre and its offering,” said Paul Nicholls, asset management director at Matrix Group. “We are committed to making Dockside a destination shopping centre that will be a place for the community as well as an attraction for people from further afield to visit.”

The factory outlet shopping centre has already welcomed a number of new brands in the last few months, including Professional Cookware Company; DSL selling Diesel; All Wellan Good; hair salon Shumi; Bijoux; Whittard’s and Fila.
