First outlet center in Romania rented 90%

Fashion House, the first outlet center to open in Romania on Bucharest-Pitesti highway was rented in a proportion of 90%, according to representatives of Cushman& Wakefield.

Fashion House, the first outlet center to open in Romania on Bucharest-Pitesti highway was rented in a proportion of 90%, according to representatives of Cushman& Wakefield.

Fashion House has an area of 20,500 square meters for 130 shops. Fashion House Outlet Center will be inaugurated in two stages, the first shops opening on 26 November.

The investment in the outlet center amounts to 120 million euros.The number of potential clients is 3.5 millions, including both Bucharest and surrounding areas, The outlet center is part of a larger development called West Park, which belongs to the Belgian firm Liebrecht & Wood.

The project also includes Hornabach, which has inaugurated a 23,000 sq.m store this year, Kika furniture retailer which rented 29,000 sq m and Technomarket household appliance retailer with 6,000 square meters.

The parking lot will include 2,000 parking places. West Park is located at km 13 on Bucharest-Pitesti highway.

The brands present in Fashion House Outlet are Puma, Benetton, Mango, Stefanel, Champion, Levis, Dockers, Fornarina, Timberland Nautica, Quicksilver, Diverta, Lee Cooper, Ecco, Steilmann, Camel Active, Leonardo, Bigotti, Cavaliere, Alb si Negru, Ipekyol, BSB, Benvenuti, Jolidon, Samsonite.

“The most important selection criterion was brand. We invited well known retailers in Romania”, said Raluca Utureanu, the project coordinator at Cushman &Wakefield Active Consulting.“Another criterion was the dimension of the shop network these retailers have in Romania,” she added.

As for prices, consumers will find sales between 30% and 70% throughout the year, this being a condition for brands attracted in the project.
